Undergraduate Minor in Statistics

Applied Statistics  

  • Prerequisites to the Academic Minor: Math 115.

  • Academic Minor Program: At least 15 credits of courses, to be chosen from the following categories as stated:

    • Core Course: Stat 350 and Stat 401 OR Stat 405 and Stat 401.

    • Elective Statistics Courses: At least three of the following courses: Statistics 403, 406, 408, 449, 466, 470, 480. Advanced Statistics courses may be included with prior approval of a Statistics Department undergraduate academic advisor.

Statistics

  • Prerequisites to the Academic Minor: Mathematics 215.

  • Academic Minor Program: At least 15 credits of courses, to be chosen from the following categories as stated:

    • Core Courses: Stat 350 and Stat 425 OR Stat 412 and Stat 425.

    • Elective Statistics Courses: At least three additional 400-level Statistics courses to bring the credit total to 15, chosen in consultation with and approved by a Statistics Department undergraduate academic advisor. Statistics 404 and 405 may not be used in the Statistics Academic Minor.
