Description: Project manager for national evaluation of Veterans Health
Administration national program to improve mental health services in primary
care settings. The successful applicant will have primary responsibility for
overall evaluation program management; development and administration of VA
facility surveys; coordination of data collection and statistical analyses;
internal and external evaluation project communications; and will serve as
administrative point of contact with the programs national implementation team
and contribute technical knowledge and assistance to project activities

Requirements: Bachelors degree in health-related field

a large national mental health research center in the Veterans Affairs health
system. Prefer full time commitment but may be willing to offer part time
position (20+ hours/week) to qualified candidate.
Qualifications:

Must be able to program, manage data, and conduct statistical analyses using
SAS.
*
Must have demonstrated data management skills and experience preparing data for
analysis.

Must have a solid grounding in statistical theory and application, and
willingness to learn and apply new methods and approaches.
*
Must be able to work independently and as part of research team.
*
Must be proficient at data analysis using: multiple regression;
analysis of variance; bivariate and univariate descriptive techniques; and must be familiar
with the statistical assumptions underlying these methods. Experience and
training with survival analysis, multilevel modeling, and large data sets a
plus.

Familiarity with other statistical/programming software (e.g., STATA) a plus.

Should be proficient at summarizing statistical methods and results in writing
with the quality necessary for manuscript preparation.

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
(DFCI) and the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) are seeking a
distinguished statistical scientist to serve as chair of the Department of
Biostatistics and Computational Biology at DFCI. The successful candidate will
also be appointed as a tenured professor in the Department of Biostatistics at
the Harvard School of Public Health and will provide leadership in the cancer
training and research program in the department.
The Department of Biostatistics and Computational
Biology at the DFCI is an active department of sixteen faculty, twelve doctoral
research scientists, and fifteen masters-level statisticians conducting
wide-ranging methodological research in biostatistics and computational biology
and collaborative research in cancer. The department is home to the statistical
centers for the International Breast Cancer Study Group, the Eastern
Cooperative Oncology Group, and the National Cancer Care and Outcomes Research
and Surveillance Consortium, and coordinates the Biostatistics Core Facility
for the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. The department is closely affiliated
with the Department of Biostatistics at HSPH, where most DFCI faculty hold joint appointments and participate in the graduate
training program.
The successful candidate will
be a visionary leader, internationally recognized as a pre-eminent statistical
scientist with an established record of scholarship, ideally in the area of
cancer research. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field.
